Job Description

The Second Officer or Third Officer reports to the Chief Officer. It is not a normal complement but, if carried on board, is responsible to the Master for the navigation of the vessel, as well as upkeep and maintenance of the Medicine Chest, Life Saving Appliances (LSA), and Fire Fighting Appliances (FFA). In certain circumstances, the Second Officer or Third Officer may be allocated additional responsibilities at the discretion of the Master or Chief Officer. Where an additional Second Officer is carried on board, the Master shall apportion their duties and responsibilities. 60 Days contract
