Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Switchboard Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical switchboards and related components to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with electrical engineers and manufacturing teams to understand design requirements and constraints. 2. Design and develop electrical switchboards, including circuit breakers, disconnect switches, busbars, and enclosures. 3. Create detailed engineering documentation, such as bills of materials (BOMs), design specifications, and technical reports. 4. Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create 3D models and detailed drawings of electrical components and assemblies. 5. Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. 6. Coordinate with suppliers to procure components and materials. 7. Conduct testing and validation of switchboard designs to ensure performance and safety. 8. Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production process. 9. Continuously improve design processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality. Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. Minimum 5 years proven experience in electrical design, preferably in switchboards or related equipment. 3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). 4. Minimum 5 years proven experience engineering Eaton specific Switchboards, DX, X Energy Low Voltage Switchboards Preferred Competencies: 1. Experience with low voltage switchboard design. 2. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection. 3. Knowledge of design for manufacturability principles. 4. Strong knowledge of electrical standards and regulations. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
